Dry Place

One of the most uncomfortable places for a believer to be in is a dry season. This is a time when everything about your walk with God is dry. There is no revelation, prayer is dry and becomes forced, bible reading and study is flat, meditation has left the building. Yet for anyone who has experienced this and knows that the scripture is true that God never leaves nor forsakes His own, knows this is a season that we must tread the waters very carefully. You have to know that the interruption in your connection, or the static in your spiritual frequency is not of God, but you. Here is where you must look inwardly to discover what has led you to this place. What has moved you into a place that seems dark? Where you sense no interact with God at all. Here I must interject that there is no demonic force that can truly interfere with your spiritual connection with God. We who have accepted Him into our hearts as our Lord and Savior and now have His precious Holy Spirit living on the inside of us must understand that He created us for fellowship with Him, and if it appears that we have lost connection with Him, it is on our end. It means that this is the time for a heart check; am I offended with God? has someone else offended me in a way that has caused me blame God? Has weariness in my walk caused me to doubt in some way? Whatever it is we need to look within ourselves and find out what has moved us into this dry place.
